Cinderella is mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters after her father remarries and dies. With the help of her fairy godmother, she attends a royal ball, where she falls in love with the prince. She leaves before midnight, losing a slipper, and the prince searches the kingdom to find her, eventually identifying her by the slipper. They marry and live happily ever after.
